Rennique Thomas

Rennique brings a wealth of cross-cultural experience and expertise to the CAPRI team. With a BSc in International Relations and a minor in Japanese from The UWI Mona Campus, he completed a one-year exchange at the University of Winnipeg in Manitoba, Canada. Subsequently, Rennique pursued graduate studies at Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo, where he obtained a master’s degree in International Public Policy in 2022.

Rennique is driven by his passion for public policy issues, particularly those pertaining to the rights of disadvantaged communities. He has gained valuable experience through internships at Jamaica’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, as well as the European Union Delegation to Jamaica.

In addition to his policy work, Rennique enjoys learning foreign languages and is fluent in Spanish and Japanese, with proficiency in Portuguese and French. He also enjoys cycling in his leisure time.
