The academic year begins shortly and accompanying this is an active discussion around education in Jamaica. Subsidies to tertiary education has been cut, CXC results have improved and so have primary education exams. The Briefing document produced last November looks at the critical issue of funding tertiary education, which in turn has implications for funding in the wider education system.
